Last year I read Convict Conditioning and began my journey into bodyweight workouts. I haven’t lifted a weight since and I’m more physically fit than I’ve ever been. Unless you are a bodybuilder taking huge doses of testosterone, you don’t need the weights. Workout like a prisoner and you’ll be strong enough, and more muscularly balanced. It was too easy to skip a chest day, or leg day, when all the equipment was taken up. I’ve also saved loads of time and removed forever the guilty feeling of needing to go to the gym. Your body needs strength that matters because you never know when you have to spring into action. Home workouts also remove the ego from the workout, which many beginners struggle to do.
